Attending an Event

No dress code. No stress. Just good times and amazing shows.

Whether it’s your first visit or your 50th, here’s everything you need to know to feel ready and relaxed for a night at Portland'5.

Before You Arrive

When You Get Here

  • What should I do with my phone?

Silence it, or better yet, turn it off. Most shows don’t allow any photos or videos. And trust us, nobody wants to be that person whose flash accidentally goes off.

  • Do I have to go through security?

Yep, but it's quick and easy. All our venues use a touchless security system that allows you to walk right through with your bag in hand. There’s no need to stop, empty your pockets, or open anything. Smart sensors and AI handle the rest.

Using a medical device? Just ask for an alternate screening.

To help keep everyone safe, please leave all firearms, explosives, large knives, stun guns, and pepper spray over 4 oz at home.

  • What if I’m late?

It’s always best to arrive early, but we understand that sometimes life gets in the way. If you arrive after the show starts, our ushers may ask you to wait in the lobby or near the back until there’s a good moment to get you to your seat.

Snacks and Sips

Can I eat or drink at the show?

No outside food or drinks, please — but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Snacks and beverages (yes, including alcohol) are available in the lobby. You can even pre-order items for intermission. Drinks with lids are usually allowed back into the theatre.

Pro-tip: Concessions are cashless. Need to convert cash? Free cash-to-card machines (aka reverse ATMs) are available in the lobby.

Lost and Found

What if I lost something at the show?
